  firstly, thank you to anyone who is in support of this rc.

  no one has shown anything but great interest and empathy for those who were abused.. i don't know who this simonsays character is though and i find him to be very rude and ignorant.

  it takes all kinds to make the world go round i suppose.. today i was contacted by a staff member of the royal commission.

  Stepping back a few posts, I reviewed Monty's statements by transcript. Aside from a couple more troubling sentences like "not wanting to put the _____ elders in a bad light", I think his testimony was actually spot on and he has proven to be the only "expert" witness in these hearings so far.

  i have been visiting and commenting on jwn on my phone and have had a lot of success.

  the only thing is a couple of times i have hit the like or dislike button and can undo it.. simon could you add a way to help us uncheck a mistake..... i am not too concerned about the like button as much a the dislike....i wouldn't want to discourage any posters .

  apparently, at one stage in his interrogation elder dino ali must have explained the following.. "mr ali told the commission he did not believe church law replaced secular law and said the organisation worked with legal authorities.".

  I don't believe the transcript reconciles with the opening post.

  Q. Well, the real reason is, isn't it, that you see your structures within the church as replacing, standing in the place of, the civil structures?

  A. Only when it comes to spiritual matters, and if those morals have - people - those within the church have crossed those, the guidelines are that they take the steps to remove the person, protect, then, through either instructions or personal counselling to those that are involved with that family, and warning them of not allowing their children to stay overnight with this person, never to be alone with this person, never to work alone or go anywhere with that person. So many have been made aware of that.

  i have been in correspondence recently with silentambs and a few interesting things have been highlighted.

  some of you may know, that bill bowen has twice tried to get the fbi involved in investigating child molestation issues in the jws org.

  this is what he said to me, i quote: we have reported to the fbi on two occasions and were rebuffed due to them not wishing to get involved with a religion.
